Join us for a variety of exclusive events at the Open Air Architectural Museum, featuring nostalgic games and activities perfect for both adults and children! Discover endless fun this Golden Week surrounded by the stunning green landscapes of the Open Air Architectural Museum!

  • Shitamachi District Shopping Errand Game

    Time: 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Registration open until 3:30 PM)
    Location: Shitamachi-naka Street, etc.

    Go shopping around the Shitamachi district to find all the items listed on your memo and collect stickers! Collect them all to get a souvenir prize! Can you do the shopping all by yourself?

    *Limited to 700 participants each day (first-come, first-served basis)

  • Challenge yourself with games of the past!

    Time: 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM
    Location: Hula hoops: Front garden of Farmhouse of the Yoshino Family
    Spinning top: East Square
    Stilts: Empty lot next to Mantoku Inn

    All ages are invited to join in the fun!

    *Spinning top competitions (tournaments) will not be held.

  • Paper Craft of Buildings

    Time: 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Registration open until 3:30 PM)
    Location: Farmhouse of the Yoshino Family

    Create paper crafts of the reconstructed buildings!

    *Limited to 500 participants each day (first-come, first-served basis)

  • Carpenter Experience
    On May 4 (Sat.) only

    Location: East Square

    Get a taste of carpentry techniques like planing, sawing, nailing, and marking!

    (3) 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

  • Carp Streamers in the Sky - Let’s Aim for 1,000!

    Location: Second House of the Nishikawa Family, Farmhouse of the Tsunashima Family

    Let's decorate the museum with carp streamers brought by everybody! Download the craft sheet from the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum website. Make your own carp streamer and bring it with you.

  • Shobu-yu (Sweet Flag Bath) [Exhibition]

    Time: 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM
    Location: Public Bathhouse Kodakara-yu

    The Shobu-yu will be held in the men’s bath at Kodakara-yu.

    *No bathing allowed. For exhibition purposes only.

  • Carp Streamer Exhibition

    April 23 (Tue.) to May 6 (Mon., national holiday)
    Location: East Square, next to Visitor Center
