Announcement of the resumption of the opening of the insides of the buildings

The Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum resumed the opening of the insides of the Reconstructed Buildings that were closed due to prevent the spreads of COVID-19.

For your safe visit, we keep on taking measures against the infection. We kindly appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Our measures to prevent the spread of infection

-To avoid congestion, we will restrict the number of visitors to enter the buildings.

-To keep distances, we will set the routes for viewing inside the buildings.

-To avoid the congestion at the entrance/exit spaces, we will kindly ask you to use shoe bags so that you can bring your shoes with you during your viewing inside each building (the shoe bags will be distributed at the Visitor Center.)

-We will keep on closing the places where the measures against the infection are not sufficiently taken (such as small rooms, narrow stairways, and corridors.)

 

Requests to visitors

- Please refrain from visiting the museum if you have symptoms such as coughing, or sore throat. Also, Visitors who are found to have a fever of 37.5°C (99.5°F) or higher at temperatures checks on entering the museum will be refused entry.

-Please wear a mask and stay enough distance away from other visitors. We would kindly ask you to take consideration so that all visitors can enjoy their viewing even in congesting space.

-Please do not disturb other visitors' viewing by staying in one place for a long time for photographing and sketching except taking snapshots with reconstructed buildings and exhibits.

-Please refrain from talking in the exhibition room and inside the reconstructed buildings. Also, please be considerate when talking in the open-air so as not to speak with loud voices.
