Notice of the extension of the temporary closure to prevent transmission of the COVID-19 coronavirus

As part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, the temporary closure of the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum will be extended until May 7 (Thu), 2020.
<We will extend the temporary closure to May 6, and will be also closed on May 7 as a regular closed day>

◆Suspended museum-organized activities (until May 7)
-Viewing in the museum (The reconstructed buildings, the outdoor exhibits, etc.)
-Special exhibition “THE SENTO: The history and the culture of the bathhouses in Tokyo”

◆Canceled museum-organized activities 
-Museum talk (April 25)
-Children's Day event (May 4-5)

◆Facilities that are unavailable to use
Visitor Center (including the museum shop, the library, and the introductory exhibition), restaurants and café in the museum, rest-space, etc.

This period of closure may be extended again depending on evolving circumstances. Any further announcements will be made via our website and official Twitter account.
