In the fall of 2018, the city of Tokyo sent a huge Furoshiki gift wrap to the plaza in front of the Paris City Hall. There, we demonstrated the wonders of Furoshiki to the world through exhibits, special installations, and workshops. All original Furoshiki designed by various artists that were exhibited in Paris will be displayed at the “FUROSHIKI PARIS” exhibition, held the Edo-Tokyo Museum and its branch, Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, through which we hope to demonstrate the wonders of Furoshiki as they were in Paris.
